The Medical Unit at the St. Joseph’s Hospital offers care for patients with a variety of complex medical conditions including cardiac, multi symptom diseases, and palliative care.  The complex, acute care environment is equipped with extensively trained medical staff, which ensures that best practice is the backdrop for providing the best patient care. The overall goal for the medical unit is to keep patients comfortable and promote healing.

The Medical Unit performs bedside interdisciplinary discharge planning rounds and has an active discharge room for patients to try out their independence before going home.
